About the Search for NCMA’s Next COO

After a deep discovery process to identify the organization’s most critical business issues and strategic priorities, Staffing Advisors sought a strategic and process-minded Chief Operating Officer with expertise in building operational frameworks that drive action. The new leader would be joining an organization with an ambitious, mission-driven growth strategy and groundbreaking initiatives underway to elevate the profession and create a globally recognized practice through a unique collaborative approach with key players in the space.

The search was led by Staffing Advisors Vice President of Executive Search Lilly Khan, with strategy consulting from Founder & President Bob Corlett and support from the entire Staffing Advisors team.

Working closely with NCMA’s leadership, Staffing Advisors surfaced several key focus areas that would demonstrate success within the new leader’s first 1-2 years:

  • Operational Leadership. Develop an operational strategy that moves NCMA’s teams quickly from plan to action. Provide internal management and coordination to ensure we consistently develop goals per the strategic plan and apply a data-driven approach to measure results and improve.
  • Process Optimization. Evaluate and streamline internal processes across all departments. Develop and implement strategies to increase performance through workstream clarity, effectiveness, and efficiency.
  • Team Management. Create cross-functional teams to leverage strengths and knowledge, enabling staff to do their best work. Oversee performance management procedures that align mission and business strategy with performance. Create professional growth opportunities for NCMA’s high-performing and dedicated staff.

The Staffing Advisors team was honored to support the National Contract Management Association in this important leadership transition. We have also partnered with NCMA on several key roles, including an Executive Director.
