About the Search for CAFB’s Next CHRO
After a deep discovery process to identify the organization’s most critical business issues and strategic priorities, Staffing Advisors sought a highly experienced human resources leader to develop, refine, and lead a best-in-class human resources function, drive CAFB’s people strategy, and support employees at all levels to build a cohesive culture that fosters connection, engagement, and pride in what they can accomplish together.
The search was led by Staffing Advisors Vice President of Executive Search Aileen Hedden, with strategy consulting from Founder & President Bob Corlett and Vice President of Client Engagement Julien Bois, and support from the entire Staffing Advisors team.
Working closely with CAFB’s leadership, Staffing Advisors surfaced several key focus areas for the role:
- Leverage the organization’s state-of-the-art systems to develop and lead a data-driven HR strategy that supports and sustains growth. This includes staffing plans and talent strategy, recruiting and hiring processes, internal communication, performance management, succession planning, and the creation of a targeted professional learning and career development program.
- As CAFB evolves, regularly evaluate compensation and benefits to ensure they remain cutting-edge and aligned with employee needs.
- Position CAFB as a top place to work, with a reputation for attracting, developing, and retaining a workforce that embraces innovation, learning, and collaboration.
The Staffing Advisors team was honored to support the Capital Area Food Bank in this important leadership transition. We have also partnered with CAFB in the selection of a Chief Financial Officer.
