You may have noticed that we haven't posted very many new HR jobs lately.  That's because we only post your jobs with your permission.  So email me your HR opportunities.  (It's free, no strings attached, and I promise you won't be inundated with resumes like ads on a job board).

I'm seeing a jump in December resignations as people gear up to start new jobs in January (I call it the December Surprise.)   But don't delay, what you do in mid-December makes all the difference in your January recruiting efforts.

We're hard at work right now, quietly identifying candidates for the new searches we are launching in early January.  (If you are planning to start New Year's job search, please send me your updated resume now, while it is quiet).

If you have an open position and are having trouble getting great people to apply, give me a call.  Your recruiting efforts might not be making a good first impression.

You can always see our current searches listed here (with lots more coming after the first of the year).  You can also keep up with us on Facebook

Happy holidays!

All the best,
Bob

Is Your Search Firm Worth The Money?

How do you judge the value of a search firm? It's more than just finding good people.

The Acid Test of search firm performance is whether the people they placed stayed around long enough to deliver results.   They had to be a long term cultural fit.

You cannot determine this in a year, or even in 18 months for many positions.  That is why we track our candidate retention statistics for 3 full years.

We've completed over 200 searches in the past 3 years, in all functional areas (Accounting, Communications, Development/Fundraising, HR, IT, Marketing) and all levels from administrative assistant to CFO and CIO.  We carefully counted every placement, and we dutifully counted every layoff.  Here is our annual report on candidate retention

If you are currently using a traditional, full-fee search firm, you might be surprised how much better your results could be with The Results-Based Hiring Process®.
