-- Featured Job --

Director of Human Resources, Armed Forces Services Corporation, Arlington VA

After 120 years as a nonprofit, AFSC was spun off to become a service-disabled, veteran-owned company, based on the belief we can touch more lives in new ways by working within the government as a business partner. We still have the heart of a nonprofit, and will always put the people we serve above profits. AFSC's mission is to optimize the lives of Warriors, Veterans and their Families, and strengthen the continuum of care by bringing innovative solutions to today's military community. We plan to grow from 120 employees to nearly 500 by 2012.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and supported by an HR Generalist, HR Assistant and recruiting team, the HR Director will design, implement and lead recruitment and selection efforts and create HR structures which allow the organization to attract and retain key talent. Also facilitate the on-boarding process and advise management on operational changes and initiatives required to improve HR practices. And, develop results-oriented systems related to recruitment, compliance and performance appraisal, and develop training and mentoring programs.
